QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT AS SENATORS
29.- Subject to provisions of section 30 of this Constitution any
person who at the date of his appointment-
a. is a citizen of the age of twenty-one years or upwards;
b. has resided in Antigua and Barbuda for a period of twelve months immediately
preceding the date of his appointment; and
c. is able to speak and, unless incapacitated by blindness or other physical
cause, to read the English language with sufficient proficiency to enable him
to take an active part in the proceedings of the Senate,
shall be qualified to be appointed as a Senator.
