RESIGNATIONS
125.- 1. Any person who is appointed or elected to any office
established by this Constitution may resign from that office by writing under
his hand addressed to the person or authority by whom he was appointed or
elected;
Provided that-
a. The resignation of a person from the office of President or Vice-President
or from the office of Speaker or Deputy Speaker shall be addressed to the
Senate or the House, as the case may be, and
b. the resignation of any person from membership of the Senate or the House
shall be addressed to the President or the Speaker, as the case may be.
2. The resignation of any person from any such office as aforesaid shall take
effect when the witting signifying the resignation is received by the person or
authority to whom it is addressed or any person authorized by that person or
authority to receive it.
