Chapter VIII/B - National Media and Infocommunications Authority

Article 40/E
(1) The Nemzeti Média­ és Hírközlési Hatóság is the regulatory and supervisory body of the electronic communications market of the Republic of Hungary. The Nemzeti Média­ és Hírközlési Hatóság is responsible to facilitate the smooth operation of the electronic communications market.
(2) The President of the Nemzeti Média­ és Hírközlési Hatóság is appointed by the Prime Minister for a term of nine years.
(3) The Nemzeti Média­ és Hírközlési Hatóság shall give account of its activities to Parliament on a yearly basis.
(4) The President of the Nemzeti Média­ és Hírközlési Hatóság shall ­ within the framework of his responsibilities and duties ­ issue decrees under authorization by an act, which may not be contradictory to any other legislation.
